I need a really good Lawyer that would fight against CAS. I am up in Northern Ontario, pretty close to sudbury and northbay area. I used to have a Lawyer and he represented me for custody and divorce cases but I found out he was a CAS Lawyer, and he moved and became a Superior Judge in Ottawa. Then he gave me two new Lawyers to replace him. I talked to the new one. He seems nice, and very young, but not really a fighter tho'. I talked to another Lawyer already, that fights CAS, but the problem that my partner does not like him. He fought for other families against CAS. One of my Friends told me that he won the case for them. I need a really good one, and also a good civil rights lawyer to sue them for having no interpreter based on my disability. Perhaps a Human Rights Lawyer or Disability Rights Lawyer or something of that nature.

LOL. Most Lawyers are jackasses. (sorry for the term and a bad word) They don't represent families, they represent CAS and helps them. They tell you to bend over backward and to adhere to their demands/recommendations. Sign this, and be over with. I don't like to be screwed by that kind of Lawyer. I guess I would have to consider representing myself. ** sigh. I guess I will have to start studying Law Books now and go to Courthouse Library to read up past cases. I am a true Fighter, even if I lose, I will always come out a Winner and they are Losers because they truly abuse Children in their Care. Not only physically abuse, but emotionally and mentally so. Remember that.

I have been fighting the CCAS for about 3 1/2 years , it has been a long and slow battle but am winning it, I have used two lawyers and have a good deal of knowledge myself so drafted pretty much all my own materials. I am a licensed paralegal but have worked many years in family law.
The first lawyer I used is good, I have know him and done cases with him for 15 years , but probably not the fighter you need. I went back to him through circumstances of what happen with the second lawyer. The first lawyer quit on me because he believed I was to aggressive, didn't like my complaints against the people I was dealing with. I regret not following through with the complaints to both, the Child and Family Review Board and the Law Society as against their lawyers. As mentioned my lawyer softened the case as much as possible, most likely afraid of the CCAS, and CAS, who isn't.
The second lawyer is somewhat of a weird card, but aggressive beyond belief. - He is D. Baker, contact number - 416-997-4783, I am somewhat hesitant to give you his number as I had to leave him. He has some difficulty following through, but probably the most aggressive lawyer I have ever worked with. His strong points are, he is not afraid of taking legal action against the CCAS, advocates against them in a professional manner and presses them whenever given the opportunity. His week points are, he cannot follow through on some of his communique, he is difficult to get a hold of, does not prepare properly, like to take firm control. I had to leave him as the opposition realized his weaknesses. You may have better luck. My relationship with him was short lived - only 7 months. He did however do some damage to the other side during this time.
His advocacy is his gift. He can talk.
If you find a good lawyer able to take on the CCAS I would appreciate the contact. my e:mail is dino011905@hotmail.com
I am able to provide my own factum, affidavits and research materials, I know my case very well.
good luck,
dino

Good afternoon,
My daughter was apprehended 2 years ago for no reason, I am fighting to have her back and after reading your message,I would like to know the name of the CAS lawyer who has become a Superior Judge in Ottawa. And do you know good lawyers in Ottawa to represent me? This is ridiculous. The CAS are such a bunch of lyers.
