I Noticed with interest at some of the candidates meetings, Karlus's continuing dream of establishing a "Solar Panel" manufacturing facility in our area, to keep the youngsters from flying the coop in search of "great" jobs.
Well Karlus, I done the leg work for you and all you need to do is make a couple of calls (no fishing or golfing needed) to:
Canadian Solar Inc. Montreal 514-856-2004.
They are incorporated in Canada but felt the need to have their products made in China. (A little nasty of them don't you think ?)
They are doing an IPO (initual public offering) next week for up to 1.320 million dollars so money needed to relocate to Sarnia should not be a problem. Current employees number about 300 (albeit all Chinese) but this is expected to increase at 10% annually. Since their market area will be North America, you can sell them on the freight savings to offset our ridiculous tax structures.
So Karlus, make the call and time a press release a couple of days before the election and we'll forget all about your gigs at the beer stores.
You can't loose !

Hmmm, a company that is exploiting cheap chinese labour? A person who did the legwork and can't even spell "lose"? Sounds like a winning proposition, Carlos! You can convince the residents of sarnia to work for 9 cents an hour... then have the solar panel company setup shop in sarnia... and everyone will vote for you because you're bringing those high-paying jobs to town... Go for it, Carlos!!! It will win you the election for sure.

"The Same Post is on Sarnia Rocks"
Thanks Dean! I just posted a reply over there. If you have the chance (?) Please Copy and Paste it over here. If you can't find time to do so. I'll get to it soon enough.
Hey (((fumanshu)))! Your response doesn't surprise me all that much. I know that the outsourcing of jobs has caused a problem for the Labour Market in N. America. But I can explain how it will very shortly be swinging back our way.
Pleeze allow me time to provide you with a response. I just spent 4 hours Typing, Spell Checking, and Proof Reading the post I put on the SarniaRocks site, and it is only partially finished. (But I am very tired! I'll get back to it!)
(I wish I had a "Vocal Recognition" program so I wouldn't have to physically type out everything. I know Dean has some kind of program that will work to do that sort of thing.)
I think you will find (From the post I plan to place!!!) that I have far more knowledge about "International Economics" than you, as of yet, think!
;D
I'll get back on this soon. It's past 9 AM now. That's 5 or 6 hours past my bedtime! LOL! -----
Later! DG
