In the last few months Ive had the oppertunity to watch the drug trade from the inside, I myself dont use or sell drugs but I do know people do.
this week I witnessed a former dealer trying to change his life style, what this person did was call the police and inform them that he was in possesion of 10s of $1000s of property that was collected from the users of Meth and Coke. There were items such as brand new snow blowers power tools and alsom high ticket electronics. i sat and witnessed as the police loaded the items into cars and a paddy wagon. this is no lie it took to rips for the patty wagon to remove the items.
Well here is my feelings on the whole thing even if you dont use buy or sell these drugs you are still paying for them be it by the loss of your personal property or damages done to your home or garage while your property was removed.
finally how many people or there kids have got up in the morning and found that they now have no Bike hmmmmm look around at how many people are riding new bikes but they look like they cant afford a coffie at Timmys......

THE SHORT ANSWER WITH NO SOLUTION and TALKING ABOUT ONE OF HUNDREDS OF DIFFERENT PRESCRIPTION DRUGS
In 1999 then President Billy (BJ) Clinton had a closed door meeting with the producers of oxycodone to increase the production by 50%. Oxycodone is a semi-synthetic opiate derived from opium. It is really meant for terminally ill cancer patients who usually are in places to die. So why would they need to increase production? The short answer is to kill off street drug users. In Florida this drug killed over 1,800 people last year by design. The funny thing is an 80 miligram hit goes for up to $80.00 on the street. The funny thing is there is an amazing number of seniors (retired) people going to their doctors and being prescribed this drug complaining of back pain and the likes fraudulently. Why are they doing this? There are senior citizens actually trafficking in this drug and why not. Lets say the average senior gets 100 pills a month at a cost of $50.00 and then they sell to the trafficker who usually is another senior with street contacts it adds to their pension and tax free. The system does not go after these seniors who are making huge dollars of the kids on drugs. The sentence for trafficking prescription drugs is up to life in prison. Can you see our prisons full of seniors who usually have medical problems that do not require opiates. We all know opiates are addictive and the beat goes on. The RCMP have to go to doctors and see what seniors are being prescribed this drug and then take action. This will not happen as stated above we cannot afford to put seniors in jail and the kids keep dieing and stealing and killing to get this highly addictive drug.

Lets not forget DILAUDAD on the street its known and vitamin D. Its synthetic heroin and worth 30 dollars a pill and that's just for 8 milligrams. The junkies can shoot this drug and be secure in the knowledge its safer then street value heroin, there is less of a chance they will overdose, this is because the its always the same strength unlike street value heroin which can be dirtied with all sorts of garbage. DILAUDAD can be mixed with cocaine in this case its called a speed ball. These pills are the exact opposite of OXYCODONE as DILAUDAD is a downer and OXYCODONE is a upper. OXYCODONE it comparable to speed and much cleaner then what is found on the street, this drug can be smoked like heroin or snorted like coke it can also be taken in pill form and the junkies eat them up like candy. Ritalin I'm sure we all know what that is used for!!! But the demand for this drug on the street is amazing, its been called kiddie cocaine but coke heads use this drug regularly to, its much cheaper then real cocaine and cost a lot less so when a coke head is short on money they turn to Ritalin to keep them high till they can get the money together for the real thing, this drug sells for 10 dollars a pill and can be found in a lot of medicine cabinets as it is prescribed to way too many children. That's just a few medications bought and sold on the streets!!

T.D Good question, I have never seen that happen, however i don't know any children on Ritalin personally, but i guess it would be like any other medication if you take to much I'm sure you could over dose. However there has been alot of info about Ritalin recently both on the news and at CCW, the only problem i see at this point is no one has any real idea of the long term affects, but in my opinion if you give a child mind altering medication when the brain is still growing your defiantly are asking for trouble. I can tell you that i have known a few adults who have taken Ritalin as children and to say the least they are slow LOL I'm not trying to be mean its just my observation, as a child my brother in law was on this medication and hes SHORT BUS slow (still not trying to be mean, no offense to anyone) I would however not recommend any child take this medication for any reason. When my oldest child went into care almost 8 years ago they said she needed this medication, i researched Ritalin i read everything i could find on it, its scary shit what we will pump into children. There are many things you can do to settle hyper children down rather then give them drugs, for instance you can eliminate yellow and red dyes from there diet as these to particular dyes are known to cause hyper activity. Good luck to you and i hope my info helps. ( i will however look around and see if i can find any cases of overdose)

agitation Ritalin (methylphenidate) is manufactured by CIBA-Geigy Corporation, and is supplied in 5 mg., 10 mg., and 20 mg. tablets, and in a sustained release form, Ritalin SR as 20 mg. tablets. It is water soluble and is intended for oral use. Many non-medical users, however, crush the tablets and either snort the resulting powder, or dissolve it in water and "cook" it for intravenous injection. It is a Schedule II Controlled Substance under both the federal Controlled Substances Acts.
A growing number of youngsters taking the drug RitalinĀ® (methylphenidate) experience overdose, researchers report. The study looked at the frequency of Ritalin overdose cases reported to a regional poison control center in Detroit. Children ages 6 to 9 years were at the greatest risk of overdose, compared with other age groups. Over a two-year period, 289 cases were reported. Of these, 31% developed symptoms. Most common adverse effects included tachycardia, agitation and lethargy. Most cases were due to parents or caregivers unintentionally giving patients excessive amounts of the drug.
Signs and symptoms of an acute overdose of Ritalin include:
vomiting
tremors hyperreflexia muscle twitching convulsions (may be followed by coma) confusion hallucinations delirium sweating flushing headache hyperpyrexia tachycardia palpitations cardiac arrhythmias hypertension mydriasis dryness of mucous membranes exaggerated feeling of elation enlarging of the pupil of the eye extremely elevated body temperature high blood pressure

Ritalin Side Effects Ritalin side effects may increase the risk of heart attacks, high blood pressure, strokes, death, and other cardiovascular problems. According to a recent Food and Drug Administration report, 51 U.S. deaths may be linked to patients taking ADHD medications.
In February 2006, the FDA announced there is not sufficient evidence proving the ADHD drugs were responsible for patient deaths, but urged regulators to monitor for heart attacks, high blood pressure and other problems including the "rare occurrence of pediatric sudden death during stimulant therapy."
What is Ritalin used for?
Ritalin is used for the treatment of attention hyperactivity deficit disorder (ADHD), one of the most commonly diagnosed neurological disorders among American children. Ritalin works as a stimulant to improve the symptoms of ADHD, which are characterized by poor concentration, hyperactivity, and impulsiveness. Ritalin, made by Novartis AG, is the most frequently prescribed ADHD drug. In light of preliminary findings, this popular and arguably over-prescribed drug, poses the risks of serious Ritalin side effects to millions of children and adults.
Concerns about Ritalin side effects
The use of Ritalin has sparked controversy in the past due to doctors and parents concerns about the over-prescribed medication. Ritalin side effects are often compared to cocaine because its long-term effects have been connected to brain development irregularities similar to those found with cocaine use. In addition, studies have found that Ritalin side effects can be long-term and can possibly cause long-lasting changes in brain function.
Common Ritalin side effects
Ritalin poses many common side effects including, insomnia, loss of appetite, irritability and/or depression, anxiety, stomachaches, headaches, dry mouth, blurry vision, nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, and increased tics.
Serious Ritalin side effects
Ritalin may cause serious side effects including:
heart attacks increased blood pressure stroke sudden death psychosis: exacerbated symptoms of psychological disorders (i.e depression) weight loss and decreased growth dependence (leading to serious withdrawal symptoms upon termination of Ritalin) visual problems (in rare cases)
Like i said there is a ton of info about this drug, and i think it all comes down too its not good for any child to be taking. I hope this info has helped. Blessed Be
