As some may know, I am in a protracted battle to get the London Police
to... how do I put this... obey the law.
For the past few weeks, the London Police have refused to turn over
their files to me, despite the fact that a judge ordered them to do
so. The London Police lawyer is actually a really nice guy, but he has
been caught between a rock and a hard place throughout this dispute.
Nevertheless, I reminded him that if he forced me to go back to court
to enforce the order, I would also be asking for costs on a full
indemnity basis, and that I would also be filing a Notice of Contempt
Motion.
Apparently, the London Police lawyer has come to the conclusion that he
is better off accepting my arguments. I received an email from him
minutes ago, wherein he agreed to release the file(s) to me.
Let the fireworks begin.
This has been an interesting study of human nature, really, as solodad has alluded to in his comment.
Agencies that are granted virtually absolute power (like cops, CAS, etc.) are always the very last to admit defeat.
But, interestingly, when defeat is inevitable, they'll be the first to try to claim to be victims, who are "only trying to do their best".
Well, boo fuckin' hoo. I say, f### 'em. Don't buy into their sociopathic, manipulative tendencies.
As a very good (and extremely perceptive) friend of mine said today, when describing the significance of forcing the police to obey the law:
"Keep your foot on their chest my friend and you’ll get the justice your daughter so richly deserves!"
The cops and CAS didn't care about my children's plight when their obvious intent was to simply cover their own asses. So, quite simply, I have learned that justice is not served unless they are held accountable for their illegal, corrupt, immoral actions.
Our children DESERVE to have those *edited, out of respect for Gammy* assholes held responsible.
