I missed tonight's mayoral debate, if you can call it a debate, so I'm wondering if anybody here caught it on Cogeco Community 6? I'm really wanting to know how well Sarnia's favourite son did. Carlos, how was tonight's debate?
I'll have to wait until the debate is rebroadcast or made available on video on demand, so that I can watch it.

Well I think it went as well as could have been expected. Just wait and see. I really liked it when Mike Bradley spoke up in my defense. That was a kewl thing to do.

It was interesting. I was impressed with all the candidates. even the mild mannered Dick Carpani was burning people lol..
It get a little out of hand with a few questions from the public but that was to be expected.
all in all it was a good nite of entertainment.

I was suprised by the turnout. A lot of empty seats. At the last debate, all of the seats were full and there were a bunch of people standing against the wall. I wonder why people weren't as interested in this debate?

I wonder why people weren't as interested in this debate? The radio said a full house, I was there and there were vacant seats and no one standing! Joe Murry's entourage filled most of the seats, including Volmar and AMG, they made sure they applauded Joe's every word. He talked around most questions. If he is as concered about seniors, as his opening remarks and position show on the Sarnia votes website, I asked why he voted to look into selling off one of the county seniors residence. The Country , Province and County populations are aging and Joe wants to sell off seniors residences? Sounds like his flip flop on selling off Parkland. When asked a direct question on explaining how he had shown leadership skills as a councilor, he went on the bandwagon for Port Sarnia. It seems several buisness men want our best waterfront land.... Free / Gratis... for putting up a boardwalk with businesses and some quaint historic buildings. The historic buildings will be manned by volenteers. No high paying jobs here.

I thought it was a full house, the reason the first one was jammed is simple, 80% of the city and city county candidates were not there. I thought Mike Bradley did a good job last night and so did both Joe and Dick Carpani. Karlus, was clearly getting frustrated and rightfully so, people don't take him seriously and he has some really good points. It was good to hear Mike come to his defense last night. Remember we are all running the same race in life. I am battleing the same thing right now with alot and I mean alot of my lawn signs coming up missing. I find it ironic how one persons sign gets put in the same area as mine and a day or so later mine is gone. Oh well, I guess that's politics.

I have put up 9 Bradley signs on the corner of Heritage Park and Michael Snow Court, on private property the home owner a member of our association and who asked for two signs. They go missing overnight.
Bradley saved our park right beside our street, so we support him, Mike Ketch and New guys!
Joe Murray felt that our park and a number of others should not be maintained, the city told us council had asked which could be rezoned and ours would have been zoned for small industry, DIRECTLY next to a row of senior residences!
You can see why I am against Joe. He also, on County council voted to look at selling off one of the senoir residences. He talks about wanting to assure a safety net for senoirs and that most seniors can't afford a condo on the river. I make over $120,000 a year and I can't either! But to sell of an existing home, close to families, to me is a disgrace! It may be good to have centralised large complexes, but small town homes are also needed and with increased seniors if they are still serviceable they should be maintained. The bigger central ones will fill up too!

I'm not sure what you're asking either?
"Joe Murray felt that our park and a number of others should not be maintained,"
I have a couple of comments to make on this issue, (And a few others too.) but I have to go out shortly. So in the words of the Arnold the Governator, "I'LL BE BACK!"
I'm also going to be making some changes to my own site too. So it promises to be a busy night.

I just caught some of last night's debate today in a rebroadcast on Cogeco TV6. I'm curious, Dick Carpani mentioned that one of the four candidates was not serious about winning the election... Who was he referring to?

That really ticks me off when I hear people say things like that about me! Yes! I knew he was talking about me when he said that. And I told him so in my closing remarks. I don't think anyone in there is as serious as I am.
It would be helpful if the Observer had "EVER" printed anything that was not "INTENDED" to make me look stupid.
Did anyone read the story they did on me in tonights paper? That has to be the "WORST" story they have published about me in my 12 years of Running for the top Office.
I offered them a chance to redeem themselves. But they have chosen to go to writing things that are even more of what I see as "Character Assassination" in their stories. The story in tonight's paper was the absolute last straw.
I mean they tried to make it look like a "BAD" thing that I take care of my Mother. These guys have gone too far this time. I "AM" now actively looking for a Civil Litigation Lawyer to go after them for damages.
Are they that scared of me winning that they see a need to paint me in such a bad light? Maybe legal action is the only thing that will make them aware that treating someone as if they were "sub-human" is just plain WRONG!
"Freedom of the Press" and "Irresponsible Journalism" are complete opposites. But the story in tonight's paper was even far beyond that. I am truly at a loss for words!
Peace! DG

Carlos, I feel so bad for you. With one article in the Observer, your political aspirations have been flushed down the toilet.
Payback! That's what that article was. You've been riding the Observer pretty hard lately and they finally put you in your place. They made you look like a total wingnut. And everything they used against you, were weapons you willingly surrendered them.
Time to find a new path Carlos. I don't think you could even expect to win a council seat in this community now. Former drug dealer? Unemployed for thirty years because of a bad co-op experience in high school? Conspiracy theorist? Delusions of grandeur? Egomanical? Condescending?
I feel so sorry for you.

Carlos you are a better idea man than Joe. Have your supporters, promote your ideas. You said it at the candidates Q&A many of your ideas have come to fruitition, not due to your hard work but you panted the seeds. Keep planting them. I like your idea or Front and Christina one way!
