Well, what are you waiting for? Fill it out and send it in. lol ok I sent it here is my answers so you seen it first Q AND A: (You have a TOTAL of 200 words, MAXIMUM, to answer all six questions. Divide them as you see fit). • City staff will request $19 million in new taxes from the new council to rebuild Sarnia’s crumbling roads and sewers. Will you provide it? The City’s Street and Sewers are in desperate need of repair I personally believe we should spend the money. However If I’m elected it would not be my call to provide the money. As elected Officials we are the voice of the people. If the taxpayers say provide this money I will agree, On the other hand if the taxpayers say do not spend this money then it’s our job to listen to the people. There is no room for personal believes and agendas at City Hall • How would you bring growth and jobs to Sarnia? As one person I personally can’t bring jobs to Sarnia or Lambton County, But as if we as a community working together there are no limits as to what we can do. Imagine what a C.E.O and his board would do or say if they received a letter from every single person in this community asking them to set up shop here. • Do you support the Port Sarnia concept? If it’s not going cost the taxpayers and it was to bring tourist it would be a good thing, However again I’ll state this is the choice of the people there are factors to be weighed in. I also believe this should not be a question that holds any water in this election • Some say Sarnia’s fire service is oversized. Do you favour reducing the number of fire stations from five to four, saving millions, if all mandated safety standards are met? How can anyone say that the fire service is oversize, Sarnia has not had an insurance report survey done since 1991. The first respond trucks by Ontario safety standards are to have 5 firemen we have 3 firefighter on our trucks. By closing a fire hall It may only reduce the arrival time up to two minutes. But that two minutes could mean the life of you’re your mother, father or a child. If the city wants to save money do the Insurance report it would save the taxpayers, business owners and the city a million in there insurance costs. • Should Sarnia pay for a health study into the impact of pollution on people? This would again be the choice of the general public. I personally know that this survey has been done numerous times by none profit groups and the Province. The corporation of Sarnia has the right to ask for their findings. • Will this city ever be a tourist destination? Sarnia is already Tourist attraction this was made possible by private businesses and none profit groups. We have Bayfest. And many other events year round. But there is more that we can do. We need to listen to the people.

I was watching the candidate videos on Cogeco today and I noticed that you were conspicuously absent from the mix. Did you not get an invite? I was really hoping to see your little video vignette, as I'm yet undecided on who my remianing votes will be for.
As an investment banker for Gardner, Ross, Cunningham, I fully recognize the importance of good publicity during any kind of campaign. Can you tell us why you did not participate in Cogeco's offering of free publicity to the city and city/county council candidates?

"• Do you support the Port Sarnia concept?"
"I also believe this should not be a question that holds any water in this election"
Well said Dean! That question even being there is assuming that Joe Murray will be elected Mayor? (And somehow manage to railroad council into going with the plan?) I personally feel that the mere asking of the question is biased toward him.
He is running for "Mayor". He is not running for any kind of Councilor. If he is not Elected Mayor, the matter will finally be shelved permanently.
I don't know how many times he has tried to push the idea through Council? But it is well known that it has been voted down every time. And he keeps bringing it up over and over again.
On one occasion he even made a public statement that he didn't know what people were worried about? And that he personally, either already had money invested, or was planning to invest his own money, into something that was part of the proposed plan.
(That's where the concept of "Conflict of Interest" comes in! Like I have said, "This is already public knowledge.")
If he is not elected, he will no longer have his seat on council. So I can't imagine how the proposal will ever come up again? Except for the possibility of him (As a private citizen with interest in the plan?) coming forward with a proposal to the City.
(LOL! Maybe he doesn't understand that if he is not Elected Mayor, he will no longer be on Council?) -----
"As an investment banker for Gardner, Ross, Cunningham,"
Right on "Uh Yeah"! I am certain that that kind of experience will become quite valuable and or invaluable (Isn't it funny that those two opposite words can have the same meaning?) in matters that will involve economics in my proposed system of "Direct Democracy".
I look forward to your input after I take office on Dec. 1st. (Especially on things such as budget concerns!)
(But please don't forget! That's only if I get elected. If anyone else gets elected, they might take your advice into consideration when making their choices. But in the long run, you will have no further say than that.
I have proposed (5 times so far!) giving you (And everyone else!) an equal voice in everything they feel concerned about. To date I have never heard anyone else come close to offering anything of the sort!!!!! -----
Peace! DG

lol You know Carlos I read the questions a few times and they are designed to put you either the Bradly camp or the J. Murray.
once again the journalistic integrity should be questioned on the part of the Observer how obvious is it that the paper is the only looking at two candidates when in fact there are 4 running
I felt intimidated having to answer questions knowing that any way I answered was to put me one camp OR the other. How can I answer these questions when I am not sure on who I am going to vote for, although I do like "UH YEA's" position.
Carlos what the heck does DG mean?

Hey Dean! You should just answer all of those questions with,
"Whatever the public chooses! I plan on 'Direct Democracy' under the leadership of our future Mayor 'Carlos Murray' to turn making those kinds of decisions easy!"

Maybe he doesn't understand that if he is not Elected Mayor, he will no longer be on Council?) ----- In all fairness, even if Joe Murray loses his bid to become mayor, he can still push the project as a private citizen. I don't think I need to remind you that the majority of projects that get the green light in Sarnia are not inititated from within City Hall. Personally, I believe Port Sarnia to be a bad idea. I'm bothered by several aspects of the project. They are as follows: i) The appeal of the project will be minimal and short lived. I don't believe that Port Sarnia offers anything that will maintain longterm interest from citizens or tourists. ii) I don't believe that Port Sarnia offers enough to draw tourists to the area. iii) I expect that the willingness of citizens to donate their time and energy to the project will evaporate as general interest in the project declines. So I expect that volunteers will gradually have to be replaced by paid employee's. This will increase costs for a project that will gradually see fewer visitors and generate less revenue. iv) I expect maintenance costs for the project to be significant over time. This is obvious. Wear and tear, vandalism, and the elements will wreak havoc on the structures over time, requiring maintenance such as painting and repairs, etcetera. v) Taxpayers are always expected to bail out failing projects at some point. Unlike projects like Bayfest, for example, Port Sarnia will be a permanent fixture on the city's landscape that will have to be dealt with should it fail. And it's often difficult to find private money to dismantle a project when the private sector has no plans for replacing the project. This will put the financial burden squarely in the hands of the taxpayer. So, to sum it all up, I see a great big "X" when I consider the Port Sarnia project. Declining public interest over time produces the "\" downward trend for the "X". Rising maintenance costs over time produce the "/" trend for the "X". So Port Sarnia is a project that should, in its present form, get "X"ed out.

Hey! I do have a couple of comments to make on this string. I'll get back to it ASAP.
I did want to say something now though. I remember when Dean was a Male Stripper. (I don't know why the word "Male" seems to be necessary in the description? WOW! You were a Stripper! And just exactly what gender would you have been? LOL!) In fact that was when we met.
I don't know exactly what started all of the rumors at that time? But people were saying that I was fooling around (on my Wife) with Dean's girlfriend. And others were saying that Dean was fooling around with my Wife.
But both Dean and I know that both of those accusations were ridiculously untrue.
[And FWIW, (Before anyone starts thinking it!?) Neither one of us are GAY! LOL!] -----
Hey Dean! Why don't we tell the people about some of the adventures we shared in the Music Scene in Toronto Circa 1990? I'm not so sure of how helpful they would be to my campaign? But I feel certain that the stories would show how good you are at getting things done!!!!
(Don't you still own me 2 bus tokens? LOL!) -----
(Remember the night we (Your people) drove Matt Sorren (SP) to his hotel? I had to laugh when he referred to Axel Rose as "A$$HOLE ROSE"! LOL!)

You just posted a whole lot of what I have been trying to say all along.
